Since the RP group we have here is so small, there are not a lot of characters floating about. Earth is sparsely populated, considering. At current, my boy's engaged in something. I am willing to whip something up for more RPs: another character, an excuse to stop pretending to be a lamp, whatevs. Though my main, Yukimine, is nervous around vampires. I read your profile. A good start, to be sure. He seems a little shy though. Check out some character profiles, see what you think. If you have a thought about what you might like to see, what type of situation you'd like to play in, I can bring someone in (over, maybe?), new or not. I'm better starting with two characters and seeing where i might like to take them than planning a party and deciding who to invite, metaphorically. whatcha thinking?

I honestly have no idea. I am totally new to this RP thing. I see Randi playing around in it sometimes and it has caught my interest. I figured this would be a good place to start. At least get some guidance on where to begin.
I will leaf through the other profiles and see if I can make adjustments. Francis is kind of taking shape as I write so his persona might need to be updated.
I am currently working in a NYC setting. Francis is a secluded Vampire that rejects his nature. More of a floater per say who lives his life through others.
I can fit into just about any situation I think as long as it is semi-modern day.

Heh, I didn't mean to make your character better. I more meant if you were interested in someone, character-wise. I'm checking out your story kernel now. There's a lot going on there, but without details it would be hard for someone to join the RP without being one of his family, Cassandra, or the owner of said barn. To get a better idea of the type of RP your gearing up for, I have some questions. Where's he headed? Did he fly all the way from NYC to the border? Are you willing to put Cassandra up for adoption (meaning allowing someone to play her as their character)? If so, I'd gladly try it out. Lots of seeds. Let me know.

Totally! To be honest I have no idea where this story is going. The last 5,000 words have just kind of floated out of midair as I was writing. If you want to try and take on Cassandra, by all means, be my guest! The owner of the barn where Francis is residing right now is irrelevant to the story. Simply a place holder. Francis flew from NYC and is headed to "destination unknown" in Canada. The plan, he runs to Cassandra's aid, they leave Canada and begin a journey on the run from their past. Who knows what will happen from that point... The imagination is a wonderful tool.

Alright, cool, I can work with that. Let me get a character app together for Cassandra and we can start something soon. It'll probably be done tomorrow morning sometime.

This is awesome! I love it, totally didn't have the whole son thing in my mind but it really works! I think this will be a great fit and wonderful edition to the story line. Whenever you want to get started let me know. I will pick up where I left Francis off. Not to long hopefully, my mind tends to wander sometimes. I know everyone is out for the holidays so no big rush. I myself will be busy for the next few days. Looking forward to this!

Mmm, I'm stumped. How to get him to Cassandra? Or should we have them find her first? Not sure the direction you want to take it. Ideas?

Well, I figured I would just go with the phone book idea... It is that easy to find her kind of a thing.
The Clan could find her first, I think that would give depth to the story...maybe a thing where Francis busts in and finds them taking her or some crap. If you want to just leave an empty house that is cool too. Maybe leave the kid behind for Francis to find...that would give some depth...
Up to you how you want to carry your side...I am going to find Cassandra in the phone book...

I don't think that she'd be listed, if you're looking for an explanation, and she lives in London, ON

I gotcha... I totally forgot about the London thing, I was scraping the bottom looking for a city name anyway. Had to pull up Google Maps. I am not totally familiar with Canada.
So, I changed the city in my last post to London. I don't know if that will help you or not. It is my fault for not remembering.
Let me know how you want to go forward, I am gonna just go with the house in "palmdale" actually being in London. I won't post anything new just yet...

That's okay. I think we just confused each other, and I was just trying to get us on the same page. My intention was that if she were listed, it would be a phony address, but there would be a way for Francis to find her from there (the note to him, which would have been hidden). However, the others got there before he did and ransacked the place, locating the note, and possibly, her. That was the idea, anyway.

Ahhh, Tracking now. I can work with that... I like that idea, kinda the way I was going anyway. It wouldn't be a good story if Francis found em right off the bat. Any ideas on how to connect the ransacked house and where they are now? I mean, if they got to them before Francis did, what clues could be left behind to move the story forward? I couldn't imagine that any of the phone numbers left would work. I get the connection of the first phone call now... I mean, trace the number to the REAL house and find it also ransacked but then what?

Well, if you trace to the real house, I could hook you up with David and have you find the group that way. Course, it would be an interesting to have them almost fight. Since David doesn't know Francis, if he found him, he might assume things based on his appearance.
